چکیده

This study examines the use of machine learning methods to read printed sheet music and classify note duration and pitch. Applying Gaussian Discriminant Analysis (GDA) on features extracted from sheet music, classification of notes duration and pitch are learned on a training set and applied to a testing set. This approach results in relatively successful classification of notes, but does not perform particularly well when classifying pitch.
